Hike along a small river up to a beautiful waterfall, which drops into a natural pool that is perfect for swimming. Climbing a little bit higher, you will get a spectacular view of the Omoa Bay with the Merendon Mountain Range around you.

The largest natural lake in Honduras, Lake Yojoa is located only 96 km South of San Pedro Sula on the main highway to Tegucigalpa.

The exuberant vegetation of this area, which is irrigated by the Plátano and Hicaque Rivers, is home to a large variety of wildlife, including tropical birds such as parrots and toucans, monkeys, alligators and turtles.
